A healthier you, means a healthier Wales

Champions for Health is an all-Wales project to equip NHS Wales staff to become more effective role models and advocates of public health messages.
The original pilot campaign ran between August 2012 and March 2013, building on the energy generated by the 2012 Olympics and the emphasis the Welsh Government’s ‘Together for Health’ strategy has placed on the need for staff to NHS Wales Logobecome more involved in public health.

Crossing the Finish Line

  • NHS Wales staff fitter and healthier - thanks to Champions for Health
    More than 450 NHS Wales staff have actively engaged in the Champions for Health campaign to improve their health. The pilot campaign is celebrating the achievements of individuals who took part in it on Monday 8 April, 2013.
  • Making Champions for Health even better
    One of the themes behind many of the tips given to Champions over the last 6 months has been to “Review what has worked, identify what has hindered, and keep on improving!” Now, the team behind Champions for Health are taking some of their own medicine, as they ask participants to give their feedback on the campaign.
